the journey of a tree starts with a little seed. It take’s time to germinate, and many times you can look give up on the little seed. But what you cant see happening underground, is how the roots develop. Before a tree shoots out of the ground to form it’s thick trunk it starts off with extensive roots, that gives it a strong base for growth later.
Take the Chinese bamboo in its first year, you see no visible signs of activity. In the second year, again, no growth above the soil. The third, the fourth, still nothing. Your patience is tested and you begin to wonder if our efforts (caring, water, etc.) will ever be rewarded.
And finally in the fifth year – behold, a miracle! The Chinese Bamboo Tree grows 80 feet in just six weeks!
